Obrtno-podjetniška zbornica Slovenije in Nigerijsko-slovenska gospodarska zbornica, v partnerstvu z Ministrstvom za gospodarstvo, turizem in šport, SPIRIT Slovenija in Slovenskim podjetniškim skladom vabi predstavnike slovenskih podjetij k udeležbi v gospodarski delegaciji, ki bo potekala od 25. do 30. novembra 2025, v Abuji v Nigeriji.Nigerija, največje afriško gospodarstvo in država z več kot 220 milijoni prebivalcev, velja za dinamično tržno okolje s hitro rastočim srednjim razredom in izjemnim podjetniškim potencialom. Glavno mesto Abuja je politično in administrativno središče države ter vse bolj pomembna destinacija za investicije. Stroški udeležbe
Udeleženci krijejo neposredne, lastne stroške potovalnega aranžmaja, ki znašajo približno 2.670 EUR (povratna letalska vozovnica Ljubljana–Ajuba, hotelska namestitev z zajtrkom, transfer letališče–hotel–letališče), avtobusni transferji in kotizacijo 300 EUR. Število mest je omejeno (lahko 2 udeleženca/podjetje) prijave zbiramo preko e-prijavnice na https://www.abctour.si/prijava/nigerija . Rok za prijavo do vključno 15. septembra 2025 oziroma do zasedenosti prostih mest v delegaciji. Delegacijo bomo organizirali v primeru udeležbe predstavnikov vsaj 10 podjetij. Ko bo dovolj prijav za izvedbo, bomo udeležencem poslali podatke za plačilo. Po tem odjava brez stroškov ni več mogoča. Možnost sofinanciranja 60 % stroškov udeležbe
Mikro, mala in srednja podjetja imajo možnost sofinanciranja dela stroškov z uveljavitvijo vavčerja za udeležbo v gospodarskih delegacijah, ki ga je razpisal Slovenski podjetniški sklad (SPS). Pri oddaji vloge za koriščenje vavčerja je na SPS potrebno predložiti potrdilo o prijavi na gospodarsko delegacijo, ki ga posameznem članu gospodarske delegacije izda Obrtno-podjetniška zbornica Slovenije.

Nigeria/Slovenia Chamber of Commerce will be of huge benefit to Imo State–Hon Obiesie

Mr Uche Udungwor,DG, Nigeria/Slovenia Chamber of Commerce and Hon. Chukwunenye Obiesie, Fmr SA to Governor of Imo State (m) and other members and partners of the Chamber during the business Breakfast on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at TFC, Festac, Lagos.

Former Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Maritime, Hon Chukwunenye Obiesie, has disclosed that Nigeria/Slovenia Chamber of Commerce will bring huge benefit to Imo State.

Obiesie made the statement at the Nigeria/Slovenia Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Business Forum which has the theme, “Slovenia, Your Business Partner” and was held at TFC Place, Festac Town, Lagos on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Also popularly known as Akusinachi, Obiesie maintained that partnership with Slovenia would enhance job creation for Imo State youths. “The Chamber is going to be of huge advantage to my state, Imo State, and through the chamber there would be opportunity for job creation for our youth.”

While eulogizing the Director-General of Nigeria/Slovenia Chamber of Commerce, Mr Udungwor for being a hard working man said he has done well for the country, Slovenia. “The man is a very honest, and he has done well for the country, Slovenia as their representative, and that is why I am here today.”

Speaking on how Slovenia can partner with Imo State on Education being an education savvy state, he responded, “Imo State is versatile in everything, in education, hospitality and Commerce too. So if Slovenia partners with the state it will be of mutual benefits to both parties.”

Obiesie responded that all that is required is partnership so that both parties will gain, “There is no doubt that if Slovenia partner Imo State in education and Commerce they are going to make a great impact.”

He also disclosed that Imo State has a lot of investment potential including but not restricted to oil. “Imo State is an oil producing state, as the DG said, Slovenia is interested in oil and gas, so Imo State is one of the Niger Delta States, producing oil, if they come to Imo State for investment, they have huge opportunity for investment.

“Last year I was at the Forum, Slovenia is making a very good impact not just in Imo State but the whole of Nigeria, and they have a very wonderful representative, Uche Udungwor and I believe with the help of Uche and you know, the people must know the country very very well, you know the country is not as popular as Germany or United Kingdom, but with Uche, I believe people will know about Slovenia and with that, our people will start going their for one business or the other,” Obiesie stated.

With an official Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as at end of 2023 standing at $68.23 billion and per Capita income of $32,350, doing business with Slovenia with a population of 2.1 million is an investment worth doing.

Chamber urges Nigerian business owners to explore opportunities in Slovenia  

The Nigeria-Slovenia Chamber of Commerce has urged Nigeria business owners to explore the social-economic opportunities in the Republic of Slovenia in order to expand their businesses, promote Nigeria’s culture and increase earnings.

The plea was made by the Director-General (DG) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Chamber, Mr Uche Udungwor, during the organisation’s Breakfast Business Forum with its members and the business community.

The event held at the organisation’s headquarters at Festac, Lagos, was to bolster mutual ties with both countries and opportunities Nigerian business owners could leverage in the Central Europe country were highlighted.

According to Udungwor,  the Slovenian businessmen through its Go Africa Project, have wish to partner Nigeria in Machineries/Equipment, Engineering and Construction, Agro Allied, Pharmaceuticals, mining ICT, Education, Renewable Energy, Auto/Industrial parts, Electrical/Home Appliances, among others.

The Slovenia business owners through its business module “Go Africa Project”, Udungwor said, have begun to formalize their interest in investing in the Nigeria’s oil and gas, natural gas, solid minerals and others through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the appropriate authorities.

He added that the Go Africa Project was being promoted by the Ministry of Economy “and Spirit Slovenia is a public agency for investment, entrepreneurship and internationalization”.

He also said: “Slovenia is aiming to participate in Nigeria’s economy with a view to expanding mutual ties with Nigeria”,stating that Slovenia with a population of 2.1million, stable economy and democracy, a member of the European Union (EU), the Schengen group and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development–OECD,  “guaranteed Nigerian investors a low risk business environment to participate in”.

Udungwor encouraged Nigeria’s businessesmen to register with the Chamber with ₦50,000 for an individual and ₦100,000 for corporate body to enable them gain from the direction, guidance and trade facilitation it offered.

Disclosing that the Chamber would organise an export Expo to encourage Nigerians to export raw materials needed in Slovenia such as coal, ginger, coconut, groundnut, precious stones and others, Udungwor noted that Nigerian students could gain from the country’s robust education system to advance their quest for knowledge by applying to study there.

A participant, Mr Chuwkwuneye Obiesie, who said that Nigeria would gain from the partnership, stated that Slovenia with its knowledge-driven economy would interface with Nigeria’s innovative minds to scale up development in many areas.
