Foreign investors are increasingly streaming into Nigeria’s maritime industry following the opening massive opportunities.
The Nigeria-Belgium Chamber of Commerce, NBCC, revealed this just as investors under its auspices said there are several opportunities that they are attracted to in the shipping sector of the economy.
The President, NBCC, Tunde Okoya, who stated this in Lagos during a breakfast meeting with stakeholders, stressed that it is the desire at the chamber to deepen trade and strengthen investment links between these two nations.
“This will be done effectively through trade missions, conferences and workshops that will provide the platform to show case the vast opportunities that exist between Belgium and Nigeria. NBCC forge ahead new partnership that will bring prosperity and wealth to both nations by unleashing the power of the private sector participations through free enterprise,” he said.
The stakeholders therefore reiterated their commitment to strengthen trade ties between Nigeria and Belgium so that both countries can boost their economies, just as they also accentuated the vast opportunities in Nigerian maritime sector.
