Business Delegation Happy with Trip to Belarus

Slovenian business representatives are happy with the results of the visit paid to Belarus last week as part of the Slovenian government GZS efforts to intensify economic ties with Belarus companies.

The government agency highlighted the business conference, which was held in Minsk last Thursday and attended by more than 60 representatives of Slovenia and Belarus companies.

Belarus Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Kupchina and Secretary General of the Economic Diplomacy Directorate Stanislav Raščan addressed the conference, pointing to the good relations between the two countries, which are reflected in ever closer economic cooperation as well.

Opportunities for even stronger ties were emphasised at he conference, including in energy, engineering and construction, agriculture, transport and logistics, telecommunication, the car industry and tourism, SPIRIT said.

More than 100 business meetings were held and some concrete cooperation agreements reached as part of the trip of the delegation that included representatives of a dozen Slovenian companies and associations.

Trade between Slovenia and Belarus stood at around EUR 60m last year, a record so far and mostly accounted for by Slovenian exports.
